The programme of events includes: presentation of the fourth issue of <em>Political Critique<\/em>, play reading of <strong><em>Rainbow Sector<\/em><\/strong> by Pawe\u0142 Demirski, lecture by the theatre critic Igor Stokfiszewski on <strong><em>How Theatre Changes Reality?<\/em><\/strong>, and a discussion: <strong><em>Love and Hatred for the Other<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv.pdf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-552\" title=\"Dni_PK_Harkiv\" src=\"http:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv-283x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"283\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv-283x400.jpg 283w, https:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv-723x1024.jpg 723w, https:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/vcrc.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Dni_PK_Harkiv.jpg 842w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 283px) 100vw, 283px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On<strong> November<\/strong> <strong>28<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, at<strong> 19:00<\/strong>,<strong> presentation of <em>Political Critique <\/em>magazine<em> <\/em><\/strong>will take place at <em>Yermilov Centre<\/em> (4, Svoboda Square). Participants: <strong>Lesya Kulchynska, Mykola Ridnyi, Nazariy Sovsun, Igor Stokfiszewski, Serhiy Zhadan. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>The newest issue <strong>of <em>Political Critique<\/em><\/strong> is about art as a tool for struggle, social critique and political statement. This issue contains chapters dedicated to the analysis of the <em>Pussy Riot <\/em>affair, and talks with politically engaged artists conducted by the artistic editor of the magazine Artur Zmijewski. Ukrainian translation of the play <strong><em>Rainbow Sector<\/em><\/strong> by Pawe\u0142 Demirski, as well as a special project \u2013 artworks by Ukrainian and Polish artists inspired by the Euro-2012 football championship are also included in <em>Political Critique<\/em> #4. Some of the authors of the issue: Yevhenia Belorusets, Vasyl Cherepanyn, Keti Chukhrov, Mykyta Kadan, Zhanna Kadyrova, Tomasz Piatek, Oleksiy Radynski, Mykola Ridnyi, Oleksandr Volodarsky, Serhiy Zhadan, Artur \u017bmijewski.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>On <strong>November<\/strong> <strong>29<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>at<strong> 19:00<\/strong> Pawe\u0142 Demirski&#8217;s <strong><em>Rainbow Sector <\/em><\/strong>play reading will take place at the theatre-studio <strong><em>Arabesky<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>(25\/5, Hromadyanska Street).<\/p>\n<p>The play <em>Rainbow Sector <\/em>is the result of a massive mystification prepared by the radical Polish dramatist Pawel Demirski before the Euro-2012 championship. He started a media campaign on behalf of an anonymous group of Polish homosexual football fans for making a special stadium section for the homosexually oriented football fans. This issue had huge feedback in Polish society, becoming the material for the play<em> Rainbow Sector<\/em>, which appears to be extremely relevant in today&#8217;s Ukrainian situation, taking into account the present legislative attacks on the rights of sexual minorities.<\/p>\n<p>After the play reading <strong>Igor Stokfiszewski<\/strong> will present his statement on <strong><em>How Theatre Changes Reality?, <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and a debate moderated by Zurab Alasania will be open.<\/p>\n<p>On<strong> November<\/strong> <strong>30<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>at <strong>17:30<\/strong> the <strong>discussion on <em>Love and Hatred for the Other<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>will take place at <em>Kharkov City Gallery<\/em> (15, Chernyshevska Street) with Kateryna Mishchenko (<em>Prostory <\/em>magazine), Anastasia Riabchuk (<em>Commons <\/em>magazine), and Nazariy Sovsun (<em>Political Critique <\/em>magazine). The editors of three Ukrainian intellectual periodicals will talk about the possibility of turning the intolerance into solidarity in the political, social, and cultural fields.<\/p>\n<p><em>The events take place within the framework of <\/em>Culture of Transformation<em> project, co-organized by Visual Culture Research Center and <\/em>Political Critique<em> magazine, supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Project partners: Polish Institute in Kyiv, Zhovten Cinema. <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Media partners: Art Ukraine, Korydor, Telekrytyka, VideoTeka.<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 28 \u2013 30, 2012 the Days of Political Critique will take place in Kharkiv.
