Kateryna Ruban
Ph.D. candidate in history at New York University. Her dissertation explores Soviet public healthcare and the role of Soviet doctors in Sovietization and modernization of Trascarpathia, western Ukraine, after WWII. Previously she earned master’s degrees in history from Central European University (Budapest) and the cultural studies program at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Anna Kravets
Researcher and translator, has been a member of Visual Culture Research Center in Kyiv since 2009, and of the editorial board of Political Critique (Ukrainian edition) since 2011. After graduating from the Cultural Studies Department of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 2011, she had done a research master’s program of Comparative Studies in Anthropology, History, and Sociology in France (EHESS) in 2015. The problems of cultural generalizations, anthropology of the sensible, theories of the subject, experimental media, and the possibilities of cultural translation are among her current interests.
